Are you retired or semi-retired and looking for something new to do?
Something a little different to most activities for older people?
U3A might be just what you are looking for!
U3A (University of the Third Age) is a world-wide adult education movement, designed specifically for those of us who have completed our first two ‘ages’ – childhood and working years – and now have time to experience new activities.
Singleton U3A is open to everyone over the age of 50, male or female.
We are a voluntary, non-profit organisation, supported by Singleton Library, which offers a range of interesting environments at minimal cost in a pleasant social setting. Best of all, there are no formal entry requirements, no exams and no awards!
Courses range from Balance n Bones exercise classes, Yoga and Meditation, through BYO Technology Questions, Trivia, Book Club, Mah Jong, Cryptic Crosswords, Current Affairs, Art for Pleasure and Walking programs to Local History, Coffee and Conversation, Lunch of the Month, Dinner at the Pub and Theatre excursions.
We also have a monthly men’s tour group, as well as interesting one-off events.
The annual membership fee of $30 entitles you to attend as many classes as you wish.
